Mission

Gonzaga Library Publishing supports the mission of Gonzaga University by publishing original works of scholarly and cultural value for a diverse and worldwide audience that amplify new ideas and underrepresented voices. Gonzaga Library Publishing strives not only to extend the intellectual outputs of the University, but also to cultivate partnerships that support the development of students as critical and creative thinkers and engaged global citizens. Guided by values of social justice, equity, and inclusion, Gonzaga Library Publishing promotes ethical and sustainable publishing practices through an unwavering commitment to Open Access.

Service Definition

Gonzaga Library Publishing (GLP) partners with Ubiquity Press to provide publishing services to Gonzaga affiliated journals. These services include:

Basic services (included for all journals)

• Journal website hosting and domain management
• Initial website development and design
• Back issue upload (limited)
• Editorial team onboarding, training, and access to documentation
• Access to editorial backend software and ongoing technical support
• Creation and management of scholarly identifiers (ISSNs and DOIs)
• Indexing in Google, Google Scholar, Crossref, SHERPA/RoMEO, and the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) (if eligible)
• Article-level usage statistics
• Long-term preservation
• Basic marketing and promotion

• Copyediting
• Typesetting
